Trompeta/ Arranger/ Composer/Singer/Educator
Humberto is a classical trained trumpet player. He began his career as a musician at the age of fifteen when his father started to teach him Mexican music. He graduated from Lehman College in New York City with a BA in Music Performance, from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Master in Music Performance and From Towson University with a Master in Education.
While studying in New York City, he had his band with some of his brothers who also play Mexican music. The band played in some Mexican restaurants and also in some nightclubs around the city. He and his band had the privilege to accompany some of the well-known artists such as Yolanda del Río, Miguel Acevez Mejía, Cuco Sanchez, Ana Gabriel and Alicia Juarez.
Also they worked for Steven Scott Productions and other agencies for many years until he joined the service and went away to serve for twenty years in the US Army.
While in the Army, Humberto had the opportunity to perform for audiences in Asia, Africa and Europe, giving him the experience to play different types of music such as Jazz, Dixy, Latin and also Mexican music.
Actually, Humberto is performing around New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and District of Columbia. Also teaching Mexican music and Spanish; arranging and composing new music to make the next album.
